Lara Richardson was born and raised in Denver Colorado. Raised in the Rockies, Lara has always had a passion for dirt and all that grows in it.

As a young adult, New York City became home for this dedicated professional, and getting to the top of her industry as a Catering & Events specialist was her mission. Year after year, Lara built her book of memorable events and top-tier clients, all while remaining very connected to her roots in Colorado. 

Flowers became a large part of Lara’s life while in NYC so when Joan (mother) and Daniel (brother) proposed the family farm, Lara was fully on-board and excited to bring her knowledge of hospitality, marketing, sales, innovative culinary treats and overall plan-management to the farm! 

In 2018, Lara and life partner, Joel, welcomed their first child. Leonie was the first-born generation in the Rogue Valley, and in 2021, Olivier was born. Both children enjoy different aspects of farm life and are eager to be mommy’s helpers on a daily basis!

After the passing of Daniel, Lara has taken full charge of the farming operation. She has jumped in headfirst to learn the systems Daniel imposed, while enhancing them to be more fitting for a busy mother of many. Her daily drive and push come from the desire to succeed and bring the original vision to reality. Lane Creek Reserve will be known as a safe space to connect to the land, learn about food systems, and provide our community with high quality clean organic food.
